Obituary for Arlene L. Conn

Arlene Lynette Conn, 81, of Vero Beach, FL, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017, after a prolonged illness. She was born July 4, 1935, in Buffalo, NY, the daughter of Alfred and Rosamond (Weydman) Landreville.

Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Robert W. Conn, Jr.; daughter, Lynne A. Conn, Vero Beach; daughter-in-law, Betty Bucior Conn, Warren, PA; brother Alfred F. (Karen) Landreville, Vero Beach; cousin Linda Weydman Miller, Mulberry, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her son, William Philip Conn.

She was a 1953 graduate of Amherst High School, and held a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Oberlin College Conservatory of Music. She taught in the Kenmore (NY) School District 1957-58, and in the Warren (PA) Area School District from 1968 until she retired to Vero Beach in 1989.

She was a former member of First Presbyterian Church of Warren, PA, sang in the choir and played hand bells. She was active in Civic Orchestra, Community Chorus, and Warren Players Club.

As a member of The Community Church of Vero Beach, she was an alto section leader in chancel choir, played hand bells, volunteered as a music librarian, and served on the music board. She was an alumna of The Vero Beach Choral Society.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm, Tuesday, February 28th at The Community Church of Vero Beach. Interment in the memory garden will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to The Community Church of Vero Beach Music Ministry or The Vero Beach Choral Society.
