Obituary for Jeune T. Grumman

Jeune had a rich and adventurous life. Born in Virginia to Myrtle and Russell Thomas, Jeune graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and went on to study journalism at the College of William and Mary. She married Marine Captain Lawrence Ray Denham and had daughter Deborah. Ray was killed in service to his country. She married Marine Captain Samuel Toy Milliken Jr, and had two beautiful daughters, Kimberly and Kendall.

Jeune worked for The Denver Post, The Virginia Pilot, and volunteered for many local charities. In Charlottesville, VA, she was Director of The Martha Washington Foundation and while living in Vero Beach, FL, she headed up the Indian River Hospital Foundation.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Lynwood Thomas and daughter, Kendall Grumman.
Jeune made hundreds of friends who will miss her dearly. She died peacefully March 30, 2017.
