Obituary for Judith Morgan

Judith Morgan
Judith Ann Morgan, 75, of Vero Beach, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017, with her family by her side.
She was born to the late Harry David Albright and June Wainscott Albright on March 10, 1942 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Judy graduated from Coral Gables High School in Coral Gables, Florida in 1959. She married John B. Morgan, Jr. in June 1960. They lived in Miami, Florida until they moved to Hendersonville, NC in 1980. In 1982, they returned to Florida and resided in Vero Beach. In 1998, they purchased a home in Hiawassee, Georgia, splitting their time between there and Vero Beach. She enjoyed many happy years in the mountains with her family.

Judy held a variety of jobs, working for a short time for the phone company, as a cosmetologist at the Cosmetique for many years, at the general store off Ocean Drive, and retiring as a payroll clerk from the City of Vero Beach, FL.

Judy’s primary passion was living for the Lord and participating in a variety of Christian ministries. She was a prayer warrior, in an evangelistic Tea Ministry and an author of a column in the Risk Takers for Christ monthly newsletter.

Judy was a member of the McConnell Baptist Church in Hiawassee, GA, and while in Vero Beach, she attended First Church of God.

Judy is survived by her husband, John B. Morgan, Jr.; her three children, John B. Morgan, III (Raquel), Julie D. Bennett (David), Jennifer D. Thomas (David), and her sister, Karen Putney. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, John B. Morgan, IV, Nicole Morgan, Rebekah Morgan-Civita, Brittanie Morgan Bennett, Kayla Ann Bennett, Brandon Wiley Thomas, Tyler Barry Thomas, Jessica Taylor Thomas, and three great-grandchildren, Elijah White, Gemma Rose Thomas, and Paisley Morgan Bridwell.

A Gathering will be held on Friday, April 28th from 11:30-1:00 pm with the services beginning at 1:00 pm at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home. A reception at Cox Gifford will follow.
