Condolences

Condolence From: Dot Heard, for the prayer team
Condolence: Judy was a faithful prayer warrior of the Teas From the Heart Ministry Prayer Team---sometimes present in Hiawassee, but mostly praying from Vero Beach. As we met yesterday for the Spring Tea, we shared memories and paid tribute to her memory. Judy was loved and will be missed, but we know she has joined the angels in Heaven.
Our thoughts and prayers for John, Julie, and the rest of the family during this season of grief. Weeping comes for the night, but Joy comes in the morning.

Condolence From: Phil & Dot Heard
Condolence: Judy and John have been members of our Encouragers' Sunday School class when they were in their summer home in North Carolina. Judy was a faithful prayer warrior and regularly participated in our prayer needs. We pray God's blessing on you, John, and the rest of the family, in your loss. We will miss her involvement through e-mail and prayer, and we thank God for her life.

Condolence: My Aunt Judy
Aunt Judy and Uncle John and their children, Johnny, Julie, and Jenny, are the only relatives I ever knew. My dad had no siblings, and mom had one sister, Judy. My earliest memories of Christmas include those with Aunt Judy and Uncle John in our Florida homes. Even then, Aunt Judy was a woman of love and strength.
As the years passed, and we all moved about the Country, we did not see each other as often, but Aunt Judy kept our bond strong. My wife, Sharon, our daughters, and I marveled at the birthday cards we received from Aunt Judy. Always, there was an enlightening personal note, a prayer, a Bible verse, or an encouraging word tailored just for the birthday boy or girl. Aunt Judy seemed to know what we were experiencing and how to help. We always knew she loved and prayed for us.
During the last Christmas season, Sharon, daughter Lanna, and I visited my mom and sisters in Florida. On our way back to Virginia, Aunt Judy, Uncle John, Julie, David, Brittanie, Paisley, and Kayla met us for lunch. We enjoyed catching up and meeting new family members for the first time. As we drove back to Virginia, we wondered whether our trip to Florida might have another purpose. That was the last time we saw our beloved Aunt Judy. Four months later--she is gone.
We will miss Aunt Judy’s smile and laugh; we will miss her encouraging words and notes; we will miss her love for her Lord and her trust and confidence in Him, and we will miss her strength in adversity, but we know she is now with our Lord Jesus whom she loved so well and served so faithfully—free from pain and in perfect peace. And we know, those of us who love our Lord as she loves Him will see her again when the trump of God sounds and the dead in Christ rise, for Aunt Judy will rise first and any of us still alive then will be caught up to be with her and our Lord forever. Thanks, Aunt Judy, for ever being salt and light in my life and the lives of my family. Thanks for loving us and always praying for us, and thanks for being an example of true Christianity in good times and bad. We love you and will remember you most fondly until we see you again.—Scott Putney
