Patricia  Bilkey
Patricia (Rott) Bilkey, 83, of Vero Beach, FL, previously from Buffalo, NY passed away April 23, 2017. Born April 18, 1934 in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late William C. Rott, Sr. and the late Marie Rott.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, George Henry Bilkey, Jr. Also surviving are her children: Jacquelyn (Don) Lindsey of Huntington, IN and Vero Beach, FL; George Bilkey III of Buffalo, NY; Susanne (Rick) Zelawski of Clarence, NY; Darlene (Timothy) LaGue of Vero Beach, FL; Maureen Schlitt (Jessica Pomar) of Vero Beach, FL; Mary Williams (Bryan Tucker) of Vero Beach, FL; and Teresa (Michael) Luksch of Buffalo, NY. She is also survived by her brothers, William (Julie) Rott of Buffalo, NY; James (Mary) Rott of Vero Beach, FL; Gerald (Toni) Rott of Sebastian, FL; and John (Barb) Rott of Buffalo, NY. She was preceded in death by her son Joseph Bilkey, her parents and her twin sister Margaret Manning. She has 20 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She attended Empire State University, where she studied Social Work. She was a stay-at-home mom for many years before going to work at various governmental agencies as a Social Worker. She was very active in a variety of Church and community organizations. With her joy-filled, loving spirit, Patricia had a tremendous capacity to appreciate beauty. She was known for her love of music and her beautiful singing voice. Her strength of character and gentle soul will be profoundly missed by all who were graced to know her.

A visitation will be held from 6-8 pm, Tuesday, April 25th at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home, with a prayer service to begin at 7:45 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12 pm, Wednesday April 26th at St. Helen Catholic Church, Vero Beach.
