Wen A. Jasa
Wen A Jasa at age 81, of Vero Beach, died Wednesday, May 17, 2017 with family by his side.
Wen was born to the late Ignatius and Anna Jasa on September 15, 1935 in Melbourne, Florida. Wen graduated from Melbourne High in 1954. He then served honorably in the Navy for 4 years and attended Florida State University with a BS in accounting along with a CPA certificate.
From 1965 forward, Wen spent his career in the local citrus industry on the Treasure Coast. Wen was the Area Controller for Ocean Spray Citrus Division and retired in October, 1993.
Wen is survived by his two sons David Jasa (and wife Melanie), of Fort Pierce, Florida; Michael Jasa, of Coral Springs Florida; three granddaughters Jennifer Oliver, Katharine Alford and Rebeckah Jasa; and two great granddaughters Payge Alford and Kinsley Alford.
Wen was an active member of St. Helen's Catholic Church including service as a church usher and volunteer for St. Vincent de Paul. Over the course of his retirement years, he also volunteered delivery services with the Vero Beach Meals on Wheels.
A visitation will be held on Thursday May 25th from 12:00-1:30 PM at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held following at 2:00 PM at St. Helen Catholic Church with burial immediately following at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul of Vero Beach or St. Helen Catholic Church.
