Rita R. Nodelman
Rita R. (Witlin) Nodelman, 93 of Vero Beach, FL died peacefully at the Indian River Medical Center on November 12, 2017. She was born in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of Mary and Israel Witlin, and lived in Worcester, MA, with her family for 36 years before moving to Florida with her husband, Irving, in 1989.
She and her family were long time members of Temple Emanuel in Worcester. She worked at Wyman-Gordon Co. in Grafton before moving to Florida. She and her husband were avid golfers. She also enjoyed caring for others, cooking, needle crafts, giving gifts of her work, playing cards, and welcoming friends and her children’s friends to her home. While in Vero Beach, she was a member of the Treasure Coast Rock and Gem Society, a 15 year volunteer at the Indian River Medical Center and an active member of the Grove Isle Condominium Community for 26 years. She continued to brighten the lives of others at Brookdale Senior Living in Vero Beach for two years.
She is survived by her daughter, Ilene S. Freedman of Agawam, MA; grandson, Justin Lojko of Chatham, MA.; sisters Miriam Frankel of Staten Island, NY, Hilda Zweig of Delray, FL; brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Ellen Nodelman of Deep River, CT; nieces and nephews and their children.
She was predeceased by her husband, Irving M. Nodelman; daughter, Elise (Lisa) C. Nodelman and son, Stanley A. Nodelman
