Obituary for Anna Marie Pyles

Anna Marie Pyles
Anna Marie Pyles of Vero Beach, Florida, formerly of Virginia Beach, Virginia went to be with the Lord on May 23, 2016 with her family by her side. Anna passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with MS.

Anna was born to Alojzy and Catherine Niesluchowski on April 5, 1958 in Elmira, New York. She graduated from Elmira Free Academy in 1976 at which time she was an active member of the White Eagles Club, Polish Arts Club and the Tatra Folk Dance Group which performed at Carnegie Hall, throughout New York state and in several nearby states. She then received her Associate's Degree in Music from Alliance College in Erie, Pennsylvania where she was an accomplished violinist and dancer with the Kujawiaki Dance Group. With this group she traveled and performed in several states and also in Poland. She continued her studies at Mansfield University in Mansfield, Pennsylvania. Anna also graduated from the Barbizon School of Fashion in Syracuse, New York.

Anna worked in modeling, floral arranging and the food industry where she met her husband before devoting her time and energy into her true life's passion which was loving and raising her two sons. She took much pride and joy in spending time with them, teaching and nurturing them and watching them grow into the men they are today.

Anna was predeceased by her mother, Catherine, who passed away in 2000. She is survived by her sons, Alexander Pyles and his fiancée Katie Yockey, both of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and Nicholas Pyles of Vero Beach, Florida. She is also survived by her father, Alojzy, of Elmira, New York, her sister, Sabina (Witold) Oczko of Conklin, New York, and her brother, Joseph (Tina) Niesluchowski of Hancock, New York. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Anna will be remembered as a loving daughter, wife and mother who tried her very best at everything she did. Although she struggled with her illness for many years and other health complications more recently, she taught many people throughout her life that with faith and a strong belief in God along with a can do attitude, almost anything is possible. Anna, you are so very loved and we will miss you terribly honey but we know you are in heaven so give mom a big hug for us and walk hand in hand without a care in the world.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Anyone caring to make a donation may do so in Anna's name to the charity of their choice.
