We (Bud and Jacque's children) just learned of Joe's death. He is someone that has touched many many lives. I remember the many celebrations and meals shared and Joe always being genuinely interested in all of our lives and reminding me that he was born in Cincinnati after we moved here.
Please know that he is missed and that he impacted many, many lives.

Our deepest sympathies on the loss of our friend and partner, Joe. As you know, Joe hired Don when he was a wet behind the ears 20 year old, to join Ralph Genter and Company. When Genter and Plante Moran merged, Don became a member of Joe's team. Joe was a friend and mentor, Peg has also been a long time friend and I've known Bill and Mary Margaret since their first trip to Disneyland. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you, Joe, and the entire Gerber family. Will see you on Oct. 7 at mass.
