Jack Sonnenberg
Jack Michael Sonnenberg, 71, of Palm City, departed us on Tuesday, December 27, 2016. He was born to the late Chatfield Woodruff Sonnenberg and Margarette Prekop, in Milwaukee, WI on February 7, 1945.
After attending school in Miami, FL in 1963, Jack enlisted in the US Army and completed a tour in the Vietnam War in the 101st Airborne. During his active duty, Jack received his Diploma, in Tacoma, WA in 1965. In 1968, he served with the Merchant Marines in Wilwaukee. Later that year he became a Journeyman with the International Brotherhood of Painters and Allied Trades and earning his certification as a Painter and Decorator in 1971. Jack was an accomplished Commercial and Residential Painter and Contractor for over 45 years.
Many of his interests included Vintage Railroad History, Minor League Baseball, Oldies music, and the Great Outdoors.
Jack is survived by his wife, Clara Ortiz-Sonnenberg; his children Dean Sonnenberg of New York City; Angelo Rodriguez of Cocoa, and Alisha Rodriguez of Bethpage, New York. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren.
