Obituary for Catherine Marie Ihde-Decesare

Catherine Marie  Ihde-Decesare
Catherine "Cat" Marie (Clausen-Ihde) Decesare, 63, of Vero Beach, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, May 1, 2017. She was born, September 13, 1953 in Walla Walla, WA the oldest of five children to the late Duane and Vera Clausen.

She was a graduate of Umapine High School and later completed cosmetology school. She worked for several years as a beautician and barber until she met and married her first husband in 1973. She then became a military spouse and raised six children with her first husband. She met her second husband, Dante “Don” Decesare in 2000 and they were married in 2007, and he lovingly stood by her side and lived life with her. Grandpa D and Nana Cat, as many know them, made their home in Vero Beach, FL. She made her life there and had many friends that loved her. Dante lovingly cared for his wife over 17 years and was with her as she peacefully took her last breath on earth and entered eternity with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

She is survived by her husband Dante Decesare, as well as five children, Jason (Katie) Ihde of Hoquiam, WA, Amy (Douglas) Jenkins of Phoenixville, PA, James Ihde of Orlando, FL, Abigayle Ihde, of Fort Worth, TX, and Cody Ihde of Orlando, FL. Nana Cat is also survived by eight grandchildren who were the light of her eye and whom she cherished most on this earth. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Brandon Ihde in 2002.

A celebration of her life will be held at the Pointe West Clubhouse 7500 14th Lane Vero Beach, on Saturday May 13, 2017 at 1:00.
