Obituary for Claire Louise Holland

Claire Louise Holland
Claire Louise Holland, 85, of North Palm Beach, FL passed away Saturday, July 22 in her daughter’s home.
She was born in Medford, MA on July 27, 1931 to the late Rudolph Theodore and Katherine Edith Ferrin Silvery. Claire graduated from Belmont Senior High School and then attended Hickox Secretarial School in Boston, MA. She married Paul Holland in 1955, and they raised a family in Windsor, CT. They all moved down to North Palm Beach, FL in 1976 and have enjoyed living in sunny Florida since then.

Claire enjoyed nature, animals, and many activities including travel, dance, art, and reading. She gave back to her community and church during her life. Though she was busy with many hobbies and events, her love was for God and her family, whom she sacrificed generously for.

She is survived by her brother Robert Theodore Silvery of Forestdale, MA; her sister Jane Marie O’Connor of Forestdale, MA; and Paul Conway Holland of Juno Beach, FL. She is survived also by her children Kevin Paul Holland of Gainesville, FL; Karen Mary Butz and Kevin Christopher Butz of Woodstock, GA; Joseph Michael Holland of Marathon Key, FL; Alicia Claire DiSandro and Gregory Brent DiSandro of Vero Beach, FL; Stephen Conway Holland of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; and Lawrence Theodore Holland of Jupiter, FL. She is survived as well by her eight grandchildren: of the Butz family Melissa, Michael, Jacob, Anne Marie, and Caleb, and of the DiSandro family Jessica, Katherine, and Luke.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, July 31st at 10 am at St. Helen Catholic Church with internment following directly at Crestlawn Cemetery. The family also invites family and friends to a reception at the DiSandro home in Vero Beach following the internment.
